SEASONS and TIMES...

I welcome you to DECEMBER - the last month for the year 2013.
While thanking God for His unending mercies, i also appreciate those who take out time to read through what i scribble here. May God bless you.

MADIBA - Lengendary!

God wants you and i to become more than a man - quite literally. God wants you to become a MEN-tor to your world!
This is what God told Abraham - our 'Father' of Faith:
"...this day i have made you a father [leader, mentor, progenitor] of [and to] many [existing and forth-coming] nations [and generations]..."

Guard Your Kids!

I would not have you unaware of the current wave of paedophile ravaging the country. Here are few tips from a paediatrician on how for forestall any unpleasant situation:

LET LOVE LEAD!

This was trending on social media at a time and it made complete sense to me. Enjoy!

You Cant Be Dreaming All The Time - DO THE DREAM!

John 13:27
"...and after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, THAT  THOU DOEST, DO QUICKLY..."

> You Have Dreamt Long Enough; NOW ACT!
> A boy DREAMS what a man DOES.

THREE STAGES OF LIFE
1. The Boy Stage: At this stage - he dreams.
2. The Man Stage: At this stage - he does.
3. The Grey Stage: At this stage - he dreams of what he has done.

> So a boy doesn't have all the time to stay dreaming. A time comes, he's got to act or do his dreams.

"Twenty years from now, you will be disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe habour"
- H. Jackson Brown Jr.
"Things may come to those who wait - but only the things left by those who hustle."
-Abraham Lincoln

When You Cannot TRACE Him; You TRUST Him!

"...they limited the Holy One of Israel..."

When we book a ticket for a flight, we assume that the pilot is a competent hand and the aircraft is in order. 90% of us who board airbuses have NEVER seen the pilot before! We only hear a soothing voice from the cockpit saying: "...fasten your seat belts; we are ready for take off..."
We even fall asleep during the journey because we TRUST the pilot.

For those of us who do commuter vehicles, i am yet to see anyone who asks a driver for his driving license - you just assume that he knows all about the dashboard. Some of us who also do the very risky motorcycles ["Okada"] never know the rider from Adam. Even in arithmetics, once we punch in numerals into a calculator - we never question the result it shows because in our own knowledge, it is almost infallible. We stake our success in high profile tasks like degree examinations on a man-made device!

From Talent To A Career Choice?

That was the topic Chukwuka Okwukwe Chukwuka, Mobile Serial Entrepreneur and CEO, Specuit Cargo Ltd chose when he spoke extensively and must eruditely at a Plenary Session of Youth Empowerment And Remodeling School - Y.E.A.R.S.

Dr. Willie Obiano?

He will be flying the flag of the All Progressive Grand Alliance [APGA] - which is regarded as the only Igbo-centric political party. Young and dynamic, Chief Obiano exudes leadership qualities that are sterling in nature.

Dr. Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah?

'Ebubechukwuzo Nnewi" - the owner and chief executive of Capital Oil and Gas is aspiring to govern his home state in the November 16 polls. Dr. Ubah will be flying the flag of the Labour Party. He claims he is the only candidate whose nomination by his party is void of controversy and he is the only candidate without a 'god-father'.

Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige?

Dr. Ngige popularly known as Onwa will be flying the flag of the All Progressive Congress [APC] in the November 16 guber polls.
Onwa is unequivocally the most vocal critic of the current administration in Anambra State. Having briefly tasted the seat of power [2003 - 2006], Onwa is optimistic that he can take Anambra State back to her 'glory' days.

Spiritual Insights with Abel Ezekiel

Earlier in the day i went through my journal to get some soul-food and these nuggets by Pastor Abel Ezekiel came alive to me. I will randomly reproduce some of them as they are quite ample. I believe you will relish them. Enjoy!

Anambra Guber - Politicians Playing Dirty?

With barely two days to the guber polls, new developments are emerging. A cursory look by any observer in the state will immediately notice a disturbing pattern - the defacing of most of APGA's billboards carrying the party's gubernatorial candidate - Willie Obiano

Speaking on the development, Commissioner for Information in the state, Mr. Joe Martins says "it is the handiwork of desperate people who are sensing the inevitable - a landslide victory for APGA".
He further said it is better for them to deface APGA's posters than for them to resort to arms and kill innocent citizens. He said APGA's party faithfuls have been instructed not to do the same to any other poster belonging to other parties. He further cited an example where a conspicuous billboard in Aguleri, the hometown of their candidate was taken down by 3.00am but were chased off by the AVS vigilante.

President Goodluck Jonathan Begs ASUU!

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has appealed to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities [ASUU] to return to the classrooms in the interest of their students. Jonathan urged ASUU members to heed his appeal saying that whatever their grievances might be, keeping students out of school for four months was unpatriotic.

The Platform 11.0 - 7 Speakers; I Venue

I would have done justice to the other speakers but for time constraints; i have got to catch up with other 'things'. All i can say that the Independence Edition of the Platform [11.0] will definitely be cataclysmic! If you have not yet registered - you might have to settle for the live TV transmission or the online streaming. Watch out for one of my favourite speakers - Ibukun Awosika. That woman spits fire and talks with passion! I love her TV programme and her desire to help start-up entrepreneurs. She has revolutionize the furniture sub-sector with her creative acumen - this will be her fourth outing at the Platform Nigeria! Not forgetting the catalyst himself - Poju Oyemade! Talk is cheap so i will stop here [and like @tochi5_ would say: "you can thank me later! lol].

Leaders Are Great Orators - Uju Onyechere

The world is ruled by ideas but these ideas must be communicated from the originator to others, if not it won't have the capability to make an impact. Consider the times that you personally have had really good ideas. You feel they are good and that they are exactly what you want to do but you still have to coax and persuade other people with the spoken word to go along with your plans.

Capital - Fresh Insights To Business

There is an obvious departure from the traditional status of business to the transitional status. The Traditional or Classic status of business presupposes that we need land, labour, capital and entrepreneurial ability to create any form of utility. The transitional status which is a derivative of the 21st century advancement in knowledge suggests otherwise. You will agree with me that we don't necessarily need these four factors to start a business. It is amazing that a person in this age and time can compress these four factors into a laptop.

Like Father Like Son; Chip Off The Old Block

Understanding Cycles. Generational Patterns. Traits in the Lineage.

Our father of faith, Abraham had certain things going on in his life that got transferred to his offspring. Embedded in the blood is a powerful communication of characteristics - both spiritually and physically.
Abraham married a fair [beautiful] woman, so did Isaac [Rebekah] and Jacob [he gladly worked for 14 years for this beautiful woman called - Rachael].

Marrying someone beautiful isn't wrong in anyway but check out this pattern: Abraham lied that his wife was his sister to avoid being killed for her beauty. So also Isaac lied in Gerar about his wife. Abraham slept with his wife's maid and consequently fathered Ishaemel with her; that trait somehow skipped Isaac and because of that it landed two-fold on Jacob [his two wives made him sleep with their respective maids!]. Abraham's wife died before him and he eventually remarried. Jacob also lost his wife - Rachael at childbirth. There was also the trait of the younger brother being the head - Jacob, Manasseh et al.

Let GO - Just 'Free' It!

Culled from Social Media:
A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. She raised a glass of water, everyone expected they would be asked the 'half-empty or half-full' question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired "how heavy is this glass of water?".

EnoughIsEnough Nigeria - #RSVP Town Hall Meeting [Awka]

Great Morning friends. Today if you happen to be around the Awka/Anambra radar, then make sure you are at Marble Arch Hotels for the #RSVP Town Hall Meeting. EnoughIsEnough [EiE Nigeria] teams up with TECHIE District to bring you this great event tagged "My Vote, My Voice". This is an interactive session with members of the general public in view of the forth-coming gubernatorial elections coming up in Anambra State. The workshop which is a non-aligned movement seeks to sensitize and re-orientate the electorates especially the youths about their civic responsibilities, their rights and other things required of them.

"...all things ...in His Time..."

Joseph dreamed of being a king at 17 but that dream eventually manifested at 30. The prison was his process! He learned administration and human relations in the prison.
David was anointed at 17 by Samuel but he had to go through the lion and the bear, Goliath, serving Saul - a king who hated his face. He learned spiritual discipline, he learned human relations at the Cave of Adullam, there he also learned leadership before he became a king.
"...and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel..." - Luke 1:80
John was being cooked in the wilderness [not the palace].

Jesus also passed through a process! He didn't just wake up one morning and started walking on water or multiplying food. First He found favour with God and man. At age 12 He was already conversant with the Scriptures, He learnt His earthly father's trade. Now this important fact is always neglected: one of the reasons God made Jesus to be born in a carpenter-father house because He wanted Him to get acquainted with wood and nails because of the cross where when He was to be hung on wood and pinned with nails.
My last statement is:
"What you are going through is only but a pathway to where you are going to."

The Queen Blogger - LINDA IKEJI!

Choi! [Linda Ikeji's favourite exclamation]. I really could not think of a better start to this very brief piece.
For those of us who don't know who Linda Ikeji is, she is Nigeria's top celebrity blogger.
She it is who has redefined blogging as far as this side of the heavens is concerned. Linda has remained a pace-setter of sorts and trailblazer in her line. You can immediately infer how powerful her blog has become because oft times people copy her works verbatim - literally word for word! Word has it that are readers [viewers] are in the 7-digit range [choi, again].
Today she turns 33 and i anticipate a lot of media mentions for her later in the day.
There are few reasons i am excited about this personality [trust me na, i ain't 'famzing'] which i will share briefly - with the hope that it inspires you of course!
One. Linda Ikeji is a female. That for me is something every female out there should remember. Needless to say, society has been found culpable of projecting females in a lower light than they deserve. It seems that a distorted and unenlightened view exist about women in this society of ours. They are relegated to the background, assumed to be good enough to be married, excellent only in housekeeping and assigned trivial roles. As such, a female dominating in her chosen field is something worth celebrating and emulating. Definitely, not all females will become bloggers but her success should be able to spur others of her gender into their own success stories. I believe there is more to a woman than just "lips, hips and fingertips" - a woman is an Amazing Amazon. Thus she must be treated as one. We should help in maximizing their potentials not seeing them as 'objects' to be 'devoured'..

SEX - Pre-Event Approach [For Ladies Only]

Sex is the end-result of a process! Many people [especially youths] who have had sex didn't see it coming - honestly. They thought they were just 'kissing', 'making out', 'smooching' [i just discovered that one not too long ago] and doing what people in love usually do.

This is especially written for 'all my ladies' - lol. "...be careful how you hear..."
Most girls who have had sex have been sweet-talked into it! Mr. Romeo disarms them gradually with his ever sugar-coated words. They commonly call it 'toasting' - when i looked it up in the Dictionary it explained to me a process by which bread is prepared.
