"...with everything within me, i give you my praise... i can't hold it back, that's all i have... for that's what You want, Jehovah Mmudim mmi o! Aniewo etiente Jehovah o? Ami mmoyom ami kwe, ami mmoyom ami kwe; Jehovah El Shaddai!..."
Those are excerpts from Nathaniel Bassey's Worship Duet with Frank Edwards [one of my personal favourites]. For those who may not know, today is Uncle Nat's birthday! During my contemplations, it took me a great while to scribble my thoughts about this Worshipper. This is because people like him tend to transcend words. Aside from being a choice minstrel, one thing i remotely admire about him is his discipline and focus! He seemed to have gotten the blueprint of where he was heading at a very young age.
What we see today is only but an advanced version of an early self-discovery [ i wish i was writing this from home i would have uploaded a striking image of Nathaniel with his signature instrument at a very tender age]. He is someone i recommend for youths to look up to as a role model especially those who ply his route - music. His music is simply profound; void of the antics of "commercial tunes and vibes". He just worships and everyone connects with it. [@saranata_ we saw him take worship to another level!]
I did speak with him earlier i the day, so for those of us who might also want to do the same, he gave this number 08100629758 [it is only valid for today so you might want to call him up before he retires for the night].
Nathaniel Bassey, thanks for inspiring your world through your music and exemplary lifestyle!
Happy Birthday Sire!

Thanks; that is all i have!
I want to rebroadcast this for those who don't think there is a reason in the world to thank God!
I recently saw this on social media and it really cracked me up! Even though you may have seen it before, read it again. This time with sobriety.
A rich man looked through his window and saw a man picking something from the dustbin. He said "thank God i am not poor". The poor man looked and saw a naked man misbehaving on the street. He said "thank God i am not mad". The mad man looked and saw an Ambulance carrying the corpse of a man to the morgue. He said "thank God i am not dead!"
"I will sing unto the Lord as long as i live; i will sing praise to my God while i have my being." - Psalm 104:33
Notice the Psalmist did not say he would praise God as long as he was married, owned a Bugatti or a Mercedes Mayback. He did not say he would praise God only when he earns a 7-digit income, a mansion by the seashore, a wardrobe replete with Ferragamo and Luis Vitton pieces. He literally vowed to praise God so long as breath was in his nostrils! That is the kind of vow you should make today! Always maintain an attitude of gratitude no matter what comes your way!
It will only cost you these three words: "THANK YOU LORD!"
