2013 - The Final Straw!

... a thought to end the year with.


Just about two hours ago, i was thinking to my self: "...if i were to post only one thing today being the last day in year 2013, what would that be?..."
It will certainly about the most incredible thing i heard all Christmas.
Everyone celebrated Christmas - from Christians, to heathen, to witch doctors and even a certain female who spills her lewd images online sent her fans a Christmas card!

A dear man of God shared these amazing INSIGHTS - and i will more than let you in on the scoop.

He said Christmas is all about you - yes you! Jesus is not [necessarily] the reason for the season - you are! Now you are probably as taken aback as i was when i heard it - welcome!
Let me use my own illustration to help you understand this better.

On Christmas day i went with a friend to Shoprite to get some iced cream. Now the story was not about me [Jesus], it was not about the stress and traffic [Crucifixion] i had to endure, neither was it about the money or price i had to pay. Everything was all about what i wanted to get [lost souls]!

"...you are bought with a price..."
In Economics there is what is known as effective demand and reservation price. It means in essence that what you wish to get is of more value to you than what you are giving up to get it. If we insert this postulation into our context, it would be cogent to infer this [look closely at this transaction]:

"...For God so loved [valued] the world [you and i] that He gave [up] His Son..." - John 3:16

If you are still lingering or dragging your feet then see this:

"...I [Jesus] came [down to the earth to die] that you [not Jesus] may have everlasting life..."
- John 10:10

There might be numerous implications of this text but the singular one i wish to extrapolate is this:
God is God without us i.e God does not need us to validate His 'Godship'. It means that even if Jesus did not die, He would still remain God. So God was not doing Himself a favour; He was doing us a great favour! He was not doing it to score points like some unscrupulous politicians around do. There was simply no motive for His action - it was motivated and propelled [AGAPE] love!
That is why people sing: "...He did not have to do it but He did it anyway..."

He took all that shame for you! Not Himself! The import of my dissertation is that YOU ARE SO VALUABLE! One way to find out the value of something is to see the price tag on it! You are worth the precious blood of Jesus! So don't walk around like some low-life or beggarly element! Ye are gods [since you are worth God's blood]!
So walk majestically, square your shoulders, lift up your heads and spread the broadest smile you can muster on your face! YOU are the reason for the season!
