MADIBA - Lengendary!

God wants you and i to become more than a man - quite literally. God wants you to become a MEN-tor to your world!
This is what God told Abraham - our 'Father' of Faith:
"...this day i have made you a father [leader, mentor, progenitor] of [and to] many [existing and forth-coming] nations [and generations]..."

A name like Kwame Nkruma is not the incumbent president of Ghana but he is widely regarded as the father of that country. Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Tafawa Balewa are regarded as fathers of this great political entity named "Nigeria". Mr. Warren Buffet is not the President of the U.S but it is said that when he 'sneezes', America catches a cold! When he talks, the nation listens!
Dr. Myles Monroe is not the president of the Bahamas but he is arguably regarded as their father. Elisha was not the king of Israel during his lifetime but the king referred to him as "...my father..."
Jesus Christ while on earth was not the [earthly] king but His influence was eternal!

You don't need to occupy a position before you wield positive influence! Mr. J.C. Maxwell identifies "influence" as the basic component of leadership. There are kings and there are king-makers [e.g Samuel].

Mandela... more than a man!
Madiba at the time of his death was not the incumbent president of South Africa but he was unequivocally regarded as the "father" of that nation. The title "Madiba" literary means "my father" or "great father".
On his sick bed, when Mandela coughs - BBC, Fox News, Al Jazeera will interrupt a live broadcast just to tell the world that he coughed. Piers Morgan of CNN will start to analyze the 'significance' of his cough. His home is a Mecca of sorts - the eyes of the world were on one man. I throw a challenge to my readers that 80% don't know the name of the current South African President but you know Mandela - or at the very least you have heard about him!

I will briefly extrapolate few concise INSIGHTS and call it a wrap.
> Leadership is INFLUENCE not necessarily POSITION.
> IMPACT is more imperative than INCOME. Income is only but a derivative of impact.
> A good name is better than riches. People are not celebrating the man who had the most dollar bills in a Swiss account but a man who bequeathed one of the greatest legacies.
> FREEdom is NOT free. There is a price. [27-year incarceration].
Perhaps the most IMPORTANT INSIGHT:
> "...it is appointed unto man to die once; after that judgement..."
Death is not an issue; dying without CHRIST is!
