Joy To The World!

Born and in a manger; King of the Jews
It's that time of the year again. That festive period of merry making, celebration and the likes. For some it is just another year coming to a close, thus a time for stock taking and perhaps postulations for the incoming year.

One God; One Voice!

One Voice; One God!
There was a great famine in Israel. It was dire. King Ahab sought Elijah after the drought defied all solutions. Remember, Elijah was the man who locked up the skies and put the keys in his breast pocket. Then Elijah uttered the incredible, he told the king to prepare for not just drizzle or dew but abundant rain!

Your Excellency PMB, About BRF...

His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) and Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN)
Ever since the last general elections, many things have 'changed' - quite literally. President Muhammadu Buhari became the first civilian president to unseat an incumbent president in the 16 years of Nigeria's nascent democracy. Therefore the CHANGE mantra being brandished by the erstwhile opposition party really came as no surprise.

Blessing Constipation
There are two dimensions to blessings; being blessed and being a blessing to others. Most people dwell on being blessed and forget that the ultimate goal is to become a blessing to others.

A Second Independence

Happy National Day!
I dare assert that David was instrumental to the independence of the Israelites. Yes, a 17 year old did that!

The Next Level!

#TheNextLevel
"...ye have compassed this mountain long enough, turn you northward..." - Deuteronomy 2:3
One of the beautiful concepts about life is that change is constant. People, things, places et al are constantly evolving from one form to higher forms, simple to complex, small to big, great to greater. It is however desirable for these changes to be progressive in nature.
In the preceding verses of the text, the Israelites moved according to the word of the Lord, not on their own. In the third verse, God announces that they have stayed too long on that level, it was time to move - FORWARD!

When It Is Time...

Ahmed: "His Time Has Come"
He only meant to show his teachers his ingenuity by bringing his homemade clock to school - unknown to him, the sequence of events that would follow showed that his time had come.

His Ways

???
Dear friends, understand that God will surely take you to your divine destiny. Howbeit, His ways are very unconventional. As the KJV puts it: "...past finding out..."

Enemies and friends alike are used by God to achieve His purpose ultimately. (True) friends show you love. Likewise foes show you animosity. So God uses their respective metabolisms in dealing with you.
Friends are likely to show you love, so God uses the mechanism of their love to orchestrate your success.

Just like the Egyptian midwives who saved Moses from death by not reporting his birth to Pharoah. Micah helped David hide when he was headhunted by jealous Saul. Abraham saved Lot and his family from captivity.

All My Ladies...

Mrs Ibukun Awosika - An Amazing Amazon!
Impossible is nothing! They usually say something is impossible - until it's done. Greatness is never an exclusive preserve of any race, gender, religion or profession.

Most people say it's a man's world; Mrs Awosika is one of those super women that proves them wrong - by becoming the exception.

In all fairness to women, history and culture has not been particularly fair towards them. Until recently women couldn't even vote! In certain countries, they are not allowed to own landed property, drive, speak in a public assembly, vie for certain political offices. The list goes on and on.

The Strength Of Weakness

The Strength of Weakness
God especially loves using weak people to do His will and not 'strong' people. This is simply because if He were to use a strong person, when (not if) the person gets results, he might think like Nebuchadnezzar that his strength has gotten him results.

Success is Intentional!

Success is Intentional
Success has become one of the most frequently used words - and for the right reasons too.
The media is awash with images of people who are thriving in various endeavours of life. These people are seen as models of what everyone should aspire to become.

While this is not bad in itself, the temption for people to follow blindly is ample. Many people usually encounter the 'effect' and not the 'cause'.

It therefore becomes important not only to emulate successful people but also learning from them. Success is intentional.
It's not random, it's on purpose.

Although we have different definitions of success, the common ground is that everyone wants a better life than they are currently experiencing.
These are six simple things successful people do:

The Nigerian DNA...

"The Nigerian DNA" - Never give up!

We all have dreams and aspirations. We all have highest hopes and visions of greatness. Nobody wants to be at the bottom of the food chain. Everyone desires to be on top of their game - "walking in power". It's both a spiritual and human instinct to dominate and each man does his best to achieve that.
