A Second Independence

Happy National Day!

I dare assert that David was instrumental to the independence of the Israelites. Yes, a 17 year old did that!

Remember Goliath's rantings cum caveat? The nation whose warrior lost out in the duel would become slaves to the other nation?
They had gotten 'independence' from Egypt, their erstwhile taskmasters for some years now. Interestingly, Nigeria has also had her independence from her colonial masters for 55 years. However, it is one thing to come out of Egypt; it is a different thing altogether for Egypt to come out of a person or nation as is the case here.

The Israelites had political independence yet they lacked mental independence!
Thanks to the anointing of God on David's life, the Israelites could breathe air freely again.
Notice, when David killed Goliath, the Israeli army suddenly snapped out of their slavery mentality and pursued after the enemy!

The slavery mentality told the Israelites: "YOU CANT" even though they were fully armed! So when they chased the Philistines, it wasn't as a result of more weapons, it was a function of new knowledge (revelation) and awareness that was inspired by a teenage boy.

Whilst we thank God for political independence, we are trusting God for a 'SECOND INDEPENDENCE'; a liberated and an empowered thinking, a mindset movement, a paradigm shift and a quantum leap.

I believe this will be spearheaded by young people, not necessarily those everyone is looking up of to. To the young people, the future is now!
God bless Nigeria!
We are indeed a great nation!
