One Voice; One God!

There was a great famine in Israel. It was dire. King Ahab sought Elijah after the drought defied all solutions. Remember, Elijah was the man who locked up the skies and put the keys in his breast pocket. Then Elijah uttered the incredible, he told the king to prepare for not just drizzle or dew but abundant rain!

Friends, what gave a man such audacity to declare abundance in scarcity was a WORSHIP EXPERIENCE!

One of the causes of famine is ambiguity. The people were divided between God and Baal. You cannot break a famine when you are undecided. You must either be this or that. It's either you walk by faith or you walk by sight. Indecision makes one counterproductive which subsequently leads to a drought.
James puts it this way: "...a doubled minded man is unstable in all his ways... let that man not think that he will receive anything from God..."
When you are not receiving then a famine is imminent.

So Elijah says the crises is going to be solved in a Worship Experience. Since worship is sacrifice and sacrifice is worship (Genesis 22:5). So he calls the 450 prophets of Baal to a worship experience while he represents YAWEH.
It comes with a caveat though: "..let the God that answers by fire be God!" We know the story.

Friends, you can't get faith and power without worship. Worship makes you more spirit-conscious and not self-conscious or circumstances conscious. Worship reminds you that there is Somebody bigger than you in that battle. It's hard to defeat a worshipper because he is thinking on another level, walking in another realm, they have another reality.

Friends, in your personal life, or as a family or the nation at large, it takes a Worship Experience to break the different types of famine we face.
People are complaining of famine in the economy, health, finances, education, career etc.

All these should bring us to the threshold of a Worship Experience, where we decide who is our God! When YAWEH becomes our God, the earth, even the earth shall yield it's increase! Psalm 67.
