His name is Mfonobong Inyang. Friends and family call him M.I [his initials]. M.I hails from Akwa Ibom State. He is the third out of a family of four. He is a graduate of the Department of Economics from the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University [NAU], Awka. He speaks his native Ibibio, Yoruba and English Languages fluently and he believes it is only a matter of time before he conquers and has mastery over the Igbo Language.
His passion is mainly writing and public speaking which is largely influenced by his father, F.M. Inyang [a retired administrator and supervisor in WAEC] and his brother, Ifreke Inyang [Content Editor for Zone Magazine and Associate Editor for Y! Naija to mention a few].
As a speaker M."I".I has spoken at various youth conferences, seminars, platforms and has also represented his alma mater, NAU severally in public speaking events known as "Own The Stage" - an initiative sponsored by Engr. Emma Nweke [a gubernatorial aspirant in Anambra State] in conjuction with Fly234 Media and Esther Nweke Charity Foundation [ENCEF].
He is an ardent follower of great speakers and choice vessels of God. He admires Emmabel Prince, Abel Ezekiel, Fela Durotoye, Damilola Oluwatoyinbo and Bishop T.D. Jakes, John Maxwell, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer and myriad of others internationally.
On his writings, he writes and works for Y.E.A.R.S, Explorer Magazine, Thamez, The Bug Magazine, UNIZIK Press, Kochupdates, campus and off-campus magazines and a lot of freelance writings for private individuals. M."I".I is definitely not new to responsibilties and as he jokingly puts it "i think i grew up very fast".
He was one of the student-brand ambassadors for Nescafe in NAU. During his time at NAU, he served for two consecutive academic sessions on the executive board of his College Fellowship, NAFECS [National Fellowship of Economic Students], NAU Chapter. He is also the Head of the News and Information Department at his local assembly.
He served as a committee member in the office of the Public Relations Officer [PRO], Students' Union Government [SUG] NAU, headed by Comrade David Agu. He was a member of Young African Poets Society [YAPS], NAU Chapter and was a member of UNIZIK Literary Club to mention a few.
When M."I".I is not studying the Bible, speaking at a conference, reading an Economic textbook or writing, he is spending time in church with close friends and family, listening to music or reading a motivational book.
M."I".I is the Author of the Best Seller, "Me, Myself and I", his first published work. He carefully used poetry to penetrate his market and capture the attention of his audience by publishing an Anthology; a collection of self-written and original poems. He also has many unpublished works to his credit.
He is also the Visionary and Convener of YEARS [Youth Empowerment And Remodeling School] - an initiative designed to discover, develop and maximize the potentials for greatness in youths and young adults. He is at the same time the Creative Director at ICE [Inspirational Consult and Enterprises] - a global out-sourcing and service based firm.
He is currently the host of a radio programme "YEARSonRADIO" which airs every Tuesday on the Campus and Community Radio, 94.1 UNIZIK FM.
He has a positive mind and he believes in hardwork, diligence, honesty and determination. M."I".I believes he can go on to become a world-renowned speaker, writer and blogger. He also hopes to be greater than his antecedents. He believes he can never have any significant success outside God because it has to be G-O-D to be G-O-O-D!
His firm belief in the Bible is unshakable. M."I".I asserts that the Bible is what it is; "The Book of Laws" or "The Book of books". Hence any principle in any area of life that is not Bible-based is a prescription of disaster waiting to happen!
He believes his story is one that evokes action and causes his listeners to burn with desire. It is a simple story of a young man who dares to be great by playing with a different set of rules; GOD'S GRACE.
